A Slido and Wooclap alternative, built into your event tool
Slido and Wooclap specialise in audience participation: polls, questions, quizzes. LiveEvent offers the same formats in the tool that already runs the site, registration and check-in: the audience votes from the event page.
In short
LiveEvent is an alternative to Slido and Wooclap when you run the whole event: polls, audience Q&A, quizzes and word clouds sit in the same tool as the site, registration and check-in, and answers can be linked to registered participants. Slido and Wooclap are a better fit if you only need the interaction, for example in a class or a meeting.
LiveEvent is a good fit if…
- You run the event end to end and don’t want yet another tool for the room.
- You want to link answers to registered participants, or keep them anonymous, interaction by interaction.
- You want to show polls over the live video, for the remote audience.
- You want a single report, with attendance and participation.
Slido or Wooclap will suit you better if…
- You only need the interaction, for an event whose site and registration are handled elsewhere.
- You want to launch polls directly from your PowerPoint slides.
- You teach classes or run training: Wooclap comes from education and has the tools for it.
Other tools are described from their public websites, as checked in October 2026. Their offers change: check with them before you decide.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the audience need to create an account?
- No. By default, people vote from the event page without an account, one vote per browser. You can require a nickname or limit voting to signed-in participants.
- Can the results be shown on screen?
- Yes, on screens dedicated to the stage, the host’s tablet and the teleprompter, each at its own address.
- Can polls run in sequence during the session?
- Yes: you prepare them in order, then one button opens the next and closes the previous one, without republishing the page.
