LiveEvent

Terms of use

What the service provides, what it expects from you, and what happens when either party stops.

Purpose

LiveEvent provides an online service for building event mini-sites, managing free registrations, running live interactions and emailing participants. Access is by subscription to an organisation's account.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions taken from your account. Members you invite act under your responsibility, within the limits of the role you give them.

Your content stays yours

The text, images and data you upload belong to you. You grant the publisher the strictly necessary right to host, display and transmit them in order to run the service, and nothing more.

What you undertake not to do

Collect sensitive data - health, political or religious opinions, trade union membership, sexual orientation, biometric data - through the service's forms. Place advertising trackers on your sites without obtaining your visitors' consent. Send messages to people who did not give you their address. Circumvent unsubscribe mechanisms.

The code you add

The code block lets you run JavaScript on your public site. You alone are responsible for it: its content, its effect on your visitors, and compliance with the rules on any trackers it may set. The publisher does not review it and cannot guarantee it is harmless.

Your obligations towards your participants

For your participants' data, you are the controller. You must therefore inform them, answer their requests, and collect only what you need. The service helps: a notice is generated automatically for each event, and an unsubscribe link accompanies every campaign.

Availability

The service is provided with the care of a diligent professional, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Maintenance interruptions are announced when they can be foreseen.

End of the contract

You can close your account at any time. At the end of the contract your data is returned to you in a readable format, then erased once the agreed period has passed. The publisher may suspend an account in case of a serious breach, after informing you unless it is urgent.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the publisher is established. Any dispute will first be brought to the publisher for amicable resolution.
